Cultivation Zone (800-1,800m)
Farmland and banana plantations at the mountain base.
Rainforest Zone (1,800-2,800m)
Dense tropical forest with colobus monkeys and exotic birds.
Heath & Moorland (2,800-4,000m)
Giant heather, lobelia, and groundsel in an otherworldly landscape.
Alpine Desert (4,000-5,000m)
Barren, Mars-like terrain with extreme temperature swings.
Arctic Zone (5,000-5,895m)
Glaciers and ice fields. Temperatures drop to -20°C on summit night.
Kilimanjaro can be climbed year-round, but dry seasons offer the best conditions.
January to mid-March
Less crowded, warmer nights. Great visibility.
June to October
Peak season. Clearest skies. Best weather overall.
Avoid: April & November
Heavy rain months. Lower success rates.
Full moon summit nights are magical — summit by moonlight without a headlamp.
Mount Kilimanjaro stands at 5,895 meters (19,341 feet) as the highest peak in Africa and the tallest free-standing mountain in the world. Located in northeastern Tanzania near the town of Moshi, Kilimanjaro is a dormant stratovolcano and one of the Seven Summits. Unlike most mountains of comparable height, Kilimanjaro requires no technical climbing skills, making it accessible to determined trekkers with proper preparation.
Our experienced guides have led thousands of successful summit attempts across all routes since 2008. As a locally owned company based in Arusha, we maintain direct relationships with Kilimanjaro National Park (KINAPA), ensure fair wages for all porters through our KPAP partnership, and provide the personalized attention that larger operators cannot match.
Safety is our top priority. All our guides are KINAPA-certified and trained in wilderness first aid. They carry emergency oxygen, pulse oximeters, and comprehensive first aid kits on every single climb. We follow strict acclimatization protocols including the "climb high, sleep low" principle, mandatory health checks twice daily, and a guide-to-climber ratio that ensures personalized attention.
As a KPAP (Kilimanjaro Porters Assistance Project) partner, we ensure all porters receive fair wages, proper equipment, adequate food, and loads within the KINAPA weight limit. Ethical treatment of mountain crew isn't just the right thing to do — it means a happier, more motivated team supporting your climb.

The 5-day Marangu Route is the shortest option for climbing Kilimanjaro. Due to limited acclimatization time, this route is only recommended for very fit and experienced trekkers.

The Umbwe Route is the most challenging and direct route on Kilimanjaro. It's steep, demanding, and offers minimal acclimatization time. Only recommended for experienced high-altitude trekkers.

The Rongai Route approaches Kilimanjaro from the north, near the Kenyan border. This less-traveled route offers a wilderness experience with fewer crowds and unique views of the mountain.

The 6-day Machame Route is a shorter version of the popular 'Whiskey Route'. This condensed itinerary is best suited for fit trekkers with previous high-altitude experience.

The Marangu Route, nicknamed the 'Coca-Cola Route', is the oldest and most established route on Kilimanjaro. It's the only route offering hut accommodation with beds, making it popular for those who prefer more comfort.

The Machame Route, also known as the 'Whiskey Route', is one of the most scenic and popular routes on Kilimanjaro. This 7-day itinerary provides excellent acclimatization through a 'climb high, sleep low' profile, giving you the best chance of reaching Uhuru Peak at 5,895m.

The 7-day Rongai Route adds an extra acclimatization day compared to the standard 6-day version, significantly improving your chances of summit success.

The Lemosho Route is widely considered the most beautiful and remote route on Kilimanjaro. Starting from the western Lemosho Gate, you'll traverse the entire mountain through pristine wilderness before reaching Uhuru Peak.
